Detectives in Brooklyn are questioning a security guard in connection with a stabbing at an event venue on Sunday night that left a man fighting for his life.

According to police sources, a 23-year-old man got into a verbal argument with a security guard outside of a Flatbush party venue located at 4501 Glenwood Road just after 11 p.m. on May 18.

While it is unclear what sparked the dispute, things turned violent when cops say the 23-year-old man was stabbed in the neck.

EMS rushed the victim to Brookdale University Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.

Meanwhile, officers from the 67th Precinct responded to the bloody stabbing, and the security guard was taken into police custody for questioning. He has yet to be charged as of Monday morning.

The location, K&L Manor, is an event hall known for hosting baby showers, sweet 16s, and other festivities. Sunday’s event remains unclear.

Police report that the investigation is ongoing.
