A U.S. soldier deployed to South Korea watched his wife give birth to quadruplets thanks to the magic of FaceTime.
“We wanted a big family, but we thought we’d be able to spread it out more,” Tony Burch told AMITA Health Adventist Medical Center.
As reported by BuzzFeed, Burch and his wife Mary Pat were already parents to 23-month-old Alice when they were told in August they would be expecting triplets.
A week later, another ultrasound revealed a new surprise – quadruplets.
The proud papa was finally able to hold the newest additions to his family when he returned on a special overseas trip four days later.
The four babies–Henry, Nathaniel, Samuel and Molly–are doing well and will be sent home in a few weeks, according to the hospital. Burch, a 30-year-old Army captain, is set to return to the U.S. full-time in June.
