ALTERNATE SIDE PARKING RULES ARE SUSPENDED WEDNESDAY FOR YOM KIPPUR AND EID AL-ADHA

Summer is finally winding down, but that doesn’t mean that festival season is over yet. There are a whole host of street fairs coming up for Lower Manhattan.

The Stone Street Pedestrian Mall will close Stone St. between Hanover Sq. and Broad St. and Mill Ln. between Stone and South William Sts. 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day this week.

The San Gennaro Festival will close Mulberry St. between Canal and East Houston Sts., Grand St. between Mott and Centre Sts., and Hester St. between Mott and Centre Sts. 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday through Sunday.

The Broadway Autumn Fair will close Broadway between Waverly Pl. and 14th St. 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.

The One Day Plaza will close West Broadway between Franklin and Leonard Sts. 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday.

An end of summer event will close Thames St. between Trinity Pl. and Broadway 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.

The MLS Block Party will close Reade St. between Broadway and Church St. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Community Board 1 – Fulton Street Follies will close Fulton St. between Dutch St. and Broadway 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.

The Epilepsy Awareness event will close Fulton St. between Water and South Sts., and South St. between Fulton and Whitehall Sts. 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.

The Giants play the Falcons 1 p.m. Sunday at MetLife Stadium. A crush of drivers will take to the Lincoln Tunnel, sending more down to the Holland Tunnel.

In the Lincoln Tunnel, one tube will close 11 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday.

During the same time, one New York-bound lane and one New Jersey-bound lane will close in the Holland Tunnel. The Lincoln closure will send traffic down to the Holland, which will itself be slow for the lane closure. Expect delays into Canal St.
The Manhattan-bound Brooklyn Bridge will close 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Thursday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights, midnight Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday, and midnight Saturday to 9 a.m. Sunday. Drivers headed into the city will take the Manhattan and Williamsburg bridges and the Battery Tunnel instead, making for extra traffic on Canal, Delancey, and West Sts., respectively.

On West St./Route 9A, one southbound lane will close between West Thames and Vesey Sts. 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday.

Advanced warning!:  Pope Francis will be motorcading through Lower Manhattan on Friday Sept. 25th.  Check next week’s column for details.
