St. John’s Lutheran Church, at 81 Christopher St., will host an evening of music and dialogue commemorating the 1994 Rwandan genocide, on Fri., April 24, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Jean Paul Samputa, himself a genocide survivor, and the Mizero Children will perform traditional Rwandan song, dance and drumming. There will also be testimonies regarding Rwanda’s progress in the past 15 years by Fatuma Ndangiza, minister for genocide and reconciliation, and other high-ranking ministers.
