Skaters last week celebrated The Rink at Brookfield Place, which opened behind the Winter Garden week in Battery Park City. It’ll be open every day from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. through mid-March.
Downtowners will have a crosstown option this season as a Seaport rink will open Black Friday near Fulton and Water Sts. Billed as the SEE/CHANGE ‘Unseasonably Cool’ ice skating rink, it’ll be much larger than the South Street Seaport rink which was about a decade ago — and neighborhood preservationists have raised concerns.
The rink will be open Nov. 29 through mid-March, Mon.-Thurs. 11:00 a.m.-9:00.p.m., Fri.-Sat. 10 a.m.-10 p.m., and Sun. 10 a.m.-9 p.m.
Carolers will also be performing at the Seaport Thursday to Sunday in the afternoons and evenings.
