Warm relief on a cold night

With temperatures dipping under 15 degrees Tuesday night, Michelle Marie, right, founder of Blankets for Warmth, gave away a free blanket outside South Ferry. She estimated her group distributed about 200 blankets, mostly to homeless people. On most Tuesday nights, Blankets makes stops in Manhattan including several Downtown — near Housing Court at 128 Leonard St. (7:30 p.m.), outside South Ferry (8 p.m.) and near the Sunshine Hotel, 215 Bowery (8:15 p.m.).
