A man and his dog were stabbed before dawn inside the 14th Street Station at Sixth Avenue on Thursday, police say.

New York City police say a homeless man and his dog were both stabbed during an argument in a Manhattan subway station.

Both survived the attack before dawn Wednesday on the station platform at 14th Street and Sixth Avenue.

The man was treated at Bellevue Hospital, and the dog at Manhattan’s Animal Medical Center.

The dispute started after the man awoke from sleep on a platform bench. The issue was unclear.

Police are seeking the suspect they say stabbed the dog owner in the leg, and the animal also in the leg.
