A significant contingent of the New York Giants brass was on hand at the University of Miami on Monday to watch quarterback Cam Ward throw for his Pro Day.
General manager Joe Schoen, assistant GM Brandon Brown, director of player personnel Tim McDonnell, and offensive coordinator Mike Kafka were among those representing the organization to get a final look at what many consider to be the undisputed top quarterback of the 2025 NFL Draft next month.
He continued to live up to those expectations with a strong showing at his Pro Day, showing a big arm capable of throwing the deep ball with accuracy, even while on the move.

Ward was the ACC Player of the Year in his lone season at Miami after transferring from Washington State. He completed 67.2% of his passes for a school-record 4,313 yards and 39 touchdowns compared to just seven interceptions in 13 games.
The Giants are in the process of revamping their quarterback position and have already made a significant move last week by signing veteran Jameis Winston as a potential bridge quarterback and mentor for a younger passer.
With the No. 3 pick in the draft, New York has a chance at taking one of the top two quarterbacks available — Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders being the other top prospect alongside Ward.
Despite Winston and a potential rookie passer, the Giants are still reportedly lingering in the Aaron Rodgers sweepstakes, as the 41-year-old future Hall-of-Famer decides between Big Blue and the Pittsburgh Steelers after being cut by the New York Jets.
