The Professional Women’s Hockey League’s (PWHL) New York Sirens released their schedule for the 2025-26 season on Wednesday morning.
This season will mark both the club and the league’s third year of operation. For the Sirens, the 2025-26 campaign is an opportunity to right the ship following consecutive last-place finishes in the PWHL’s first two seasons. New York also scored the fewest goals in the PWHL last season.
“Every season is an opportunity to write a new story,” said general manager Pascal Daoust. “The Sirens are ready to bring a brand of hockey that is fast, fearless, and intelligent. From the first drop of the puck, we’re chasing excellence and building something our entire community can rally behind.”
Daoust retooled his forward corps this offseason. The club selected elite Czech forward Kristýna Kaltounková first overall at the 2025 PWHL Draft in June. He then traded defender Ella Shelton to the Toronto Sceptres for the number three pick, which he used to select New York-born elite playmaker Casey O’Brien, the Wisconsin Badgers’ all-time leader in points (274) and assists (177).
Each PWHL club plays 30 regular season games. The season stretches from November to April, and includes two international breaks: the first from Dec. 8 to 15, and the second from Jan. 29 to Feb. 25 for the 2026 Winter Olympics.
New York will open the 2025-26 campaign on the road against the Ottawa Charge at TD Place on Nov. 22. Following a Nov. 25 road game against the Montreal Victoire, the club will play its home opener against PWHL Vancouver — one of the league’s two new expansion franchises — on Nov. 29 at 12 p.m. ET at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.
The Sirens will play 12 games at Prudential Center this season. Details on non-primary venue games — which includes three Sirens home games — will be announced in the coming weeks.
The club is playing two home games around the holiday season. They host Toronto on Dec. 21 at 12 p.m., and Vancouver on Dec. 31 at 1 p.m.
New York will play five weekend games at Prudential Center: two Fridays, one Saturday and two Sundays.
The Sirens will wrap up the regular season on the road against the Boston Fleet at the Tsongas Center on April 25.
The club will announce its unity and theme nights in the coming weeks. Broadcast and streaming details will also be announced in the coming weeks.
Each PWHL club will offer pre-selected partial ticket packages starting Oct. 7. Single-game tickets will go on sale on Oct. 14. Clubs may also offer additional ticket packages throughout the season.
