Mary Alice Ladd of the Bronx is dressed in vaguely early 1900's attire on the holiday vintage 1930's R1-9 train car. She has participated every year since 2008 with different outfits every weekend. It's a "chance to travel back in time and actually enjoy the subways."

Stewart Svendsen of Brooklyn, in 1918-1920s attire, sits with Mary Dove dressed in 1940s clothing and Eddie Abreu of Queens.  Svendsen has been doing this for about seven years but for Dove, it's her first time. "As a vintage fan that wants to experience the old school ... for me is a very exhilarating experience," Abreu said. "The nostalgia trains are the best in the world."

The Holiday Nostalgia Trains will roll through Manhattan every Sunday through New Year's Eve. Talia Milgrom-Elcott and her daughter Sela Milgrom-Dorfman, 8, both from of Brooklyn, and her grandmother Shira Milgrom of White Plains on the holiday vintage 1930's R1-9 train car on Sunday.
