Police in Brooklyn are searching for the suspect behind a subway stabbing early on Tuesday morning that left a man seriously wounded.
Law enforcement sources said the bloody attack occurred at the Grant Avenue station on the A line, near the corner of Grant and Pitkin Avenues, in City Line at about 4:10 a.m. on May 27.
Officers from the 75th Precinct and Transit District 33 responded to the station platform after receiving a 911 call about the incident.
The cops located the victim, a 51-year-old man, who had sustained a stab wound to his chest. The circumstances leading up to the assault are unknown at this time, police sources said; a motive is also not yet known.
EMS rushed the victim to Brookdale University Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
Police sources did not have a description of the assailant as of Tuesday morning; sources familiar with the case said the victim has been uncooperative with detectives. No arrests have been made.
