A man was injured during a brutal stabbing in Midtown on Monday night.
According to police sources, the incident took place at approximately 10:29 p.m. on June 2 outside of a 7-Eleven on 39th Street and 8th Avenue.
Cops say two men got into a verbal dispute when things turned violent, and an 18-year-old man was stabbed in the abdomen.
EMS rushed the victim to Bellevue Hospital, where he is expected to survive his injuries.
Police did not immediately have a description of the suspect. Officers from the Midtown South Precinct shut down the store to the public for several hours overnight as they probed the incident and conducted a canvas of nearby surveillance footage.
No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.
