DVD & Blu-ray review: ‘2 Guns’

‘2 Guns’

At the very least, the presence of Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg in this action flick makes for a moderately good time, with some witty banter. The film follows a pair of undercover agents, though neither knows the other is undercover. Together they take on a drug cartel, but once their covers are blown, the film starts to lose steam and falls apart. (DVD, $29.98; Blu-ray/DVD combo, $34.98)’Star Trek: The Next

Generation — Season Five’

This season includes the return of Leonard Nimoy as Spock in the two-part episode “Unification,” also available as a single disc. (Season Five, Blu-ray, $129.99; “Unification,” Blu-ray, $24.99)’Planes’

Just like “Cars,” but in the sky. Note: not a Pixar film. (DVD, $29.99; Blu-ray/DVD combo, $44.99; Blu-ray 3-D/Blu-ray/DVD combo, $49.99)’The World’s End’

Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Edgar Wright reunite for this boozy sci-fi comedy. If you don’t have their first collaborations “Shaun of the Dead” and “Hot Fuzz,” step up for the trilogy set. (“End,” DVD, $29.98; Blu-ray/DVD combo, $34.98; “Trilogy,” DVD, $39.98; Blu-ray, $49.98)Also out
