Served in a beautiful coupe adorned with the word Miracle, this Gimlet is made with Shochu, pine needle cordial and grapefruit oil. It’s a refreshing cocktail that stands in contrast with the heavier drinks popular during the holiday season.
Most of the holiday drinks are served in glassware made by the barware company Cocktail Kingdom (cocktailkingdom.com) , also co-owned by Boehm.

Nog! Nog! Nog! This perennial favorite is made extra special at Miracle on Ninth Street. Brown butter fat-washed cognac is combined with Amontillado Sherry, pandan syrup, egg, hazelnut milk, clove and nutmeg — and the result is an intoxicating and fancy variation on a classic.
More cocktails: Muletide with Aquavit, Sherry and ginger; The Grinch with Rye whiskey, sherry and frankincense smoke; Christmapolitan with fig-leaf infused vodka, St. Germain and spiced cranberry sauce; Candy Cane Fizz with peppermint-infused gin, buttermilk syrup, clementine acid and Prosecco. All $14.

Boehm’s mother came up with the Miracle on Ninth Street concept, and because the family is Jewish, the Hideaway is an homage to her.
And as for cocktails, if you’re hanging in the Hideaway, get the Dreidel Dreidel Dreidel (Not Made of Clay) cocktail.

For the second year, cocktail bar owner Greg Boehm has transformed his Alphabet City bar Mace into a hoppin’ holiday-themed watering hole.
The cheer here is unstoppable: expect all the songs (curated by Boehm), vintage Christmas cards, a yule log, Santa hats and kitschy yet delicious cocktails.
Here’s why you should visit Miracle on Ninth Street (649 E. 9th St.) this holiday season. It’s open through Dec. 24.
