Rockaway Taco might be closed (you can still hit up Tacoway Beach) but Rippers has just reopened and that means beach party season is ON.
“Same location, same menu, same prices, same cold beers, more boardwalk, less construction,” said co-owner Brent Young. “We’re stoked!”
So are we.
Rippers is one of the businesses that helped turn Rockaway Beach into a major destination for city dwellers when it opened just five years ago. You could even say the rise of rock and roll bus trips to area beaches has places like Rippers to thank.
Once you get there and get sun blasted, hit up Rippers for music and comraderie, beer and sangria (or a green juice if that’s your thing) and a burger or fish sandwich.
And you can trust in the food, too: Young is also a co-owner of The Meat Hook in Williamsburg.
Rippers is open every day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
