Two people shot, one fatally, at a Manhattan restaurant: reports

Detectives are investigating a shooting at a Manhattan restaurant early on Monday morning that left a 28-year-old man dead and a woman injured.

Officers from the 34th Precinct responded to a 911 call about the assault located at 3856 10th Ave. in Inwood. WPIX-TV reported that the shooting occurred at El Floridita Restaurant.

Upon arriving at the scene, police reported, the officers found a 28-year-old man shot in the torso and a 58-year-old woman who suffered a gunshot wound to her leg. 

In the early stages of the investigation, police sources could not disclose the relationship between both victims.

Paramedics rushed the 28-year-old man to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police have not disclosed his identity, pending family notification.

Meanwhile, the wounded woman was brought to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem in stable condition.

No arrests have been made at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.
