A Queens public school teacher was arrested Tuesday at the school where he taught for allegedly raping a young teen.
According to sources familiar with the investigation, 36-year-old David Ospino was cuffed on the morning of June 3 while at work at I.S. 204 Oliver W. Holmes is located at 36-41 28th St. in Long Island City. He was taken into custody without incident.
Sources familiar with the investigation reported that a 14-year-old female student had come forward to police and accused Ospino of raping her at his home when she was 13 about a year earlier. The home is located within the confines of the 112th Precinct, based in Forest Hills.
Police say Ospino has been charged with rape and endangering the welfare of a child.
