A young life cut short

Friends and relatives carried the coffin of Joe “FEX” Locascio out of St. Mary’s Church on Grand St. after his wake on July 30. Locascio, 22, who used to graffiti a small moniker, “FEX,” around the neighborhood, grew up in the LaGuardia Houses and was living in Queens at the time of his death. He was stabbed to death with a screwdriver on July 24, possibly after a dispute.
