“Your carpenters hands caressed the infrastructure of this city.” Ailish Coughlan, top, wrote Sunday. “And your memory will soar through this city’s streets.” She signed it “Love, Ailish.”

Coughlan’s father, Martin John Coughlan, died on the 92nd floor of World Trade Center Tower 2 on Sept. 11, 2001. She and a few dozen others with connections to 9/11 went to an old storefront on 32nd St. Sunday to paint decorations and write personal messages.

Dylan, 8, a Long Island resident, is at right.

About 33,000 floral decorations will be adorning New York City taxis later this year as part of the Garden in Transit program. This year marks the 100th anniversary of metered cabs in the city.
