Lyudmila Yevdokimova filled up planters with Bowling Green Park geraniums for her office on Wednesday. The Downtown Alliance gave away thousands of geraniums in preparation for its plans to plant tulips in the park Sunday, Oct. 19 from 10 a.m. 1 p.m. The Alliance is encouraging Downtown friends and families to come out for the Community Planting Day. The program is part of the group’s Going Green Downtown effort to promote a more sustainable Lower Manhattan.
