Police are searching for a man that say knocked a 26-year-old woman unconscious on the southbound platform of the Bowling Green subway station at about 5:50 p.m. on June 14.

The suspect approached the victim from behind and told her he was going to slap her before he struck her. The attack left her unconscious, with a cut on her lip and bruises on her face.  She was taken to New York Presbyterian Hospital in stable condition.

The man, who immediately fled, was described as looking about, 35 to 40 years old, standing 6-foot-4 to 6-foot-5, and weighing about 250 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, light colored jeans and red sneakers.
