On Saturday, Hanukkah’s second night, Chabad of Lower East Side held a candle-lighting event with a large menorah at Grand St. and East Broadway. Again, it was Councilmember Gerson who did the honors, right. Yehoshua Soloman, a one-man band and singer, living up to his motto, provided “music and vocal excellence like no other,” as neighbors gathered to dance and eat latkes, or potato pancakes.
