SHE WILL, SHE WILL ROCK YOU This Saturday, Dec. 2, Ace of Clubs hosts the 5th Annual Girls Rock & Girls Rule, an event that champions both independent female rockers in New York City and organizations that give back to women in the community. Ten bands are scheduled to perform, from NYC locals G-spot (above) to Philadelphia’s September, along with special appearances by bands from the Willie Mae Rock Camp, a new partner of GRGR. Admission is $10, and the majority of the proceeds will benefit the Voices of Women Organizing Project and Battered Women’s Resource Center. Door open at 6:30, Ace of Clubs, 9 Great Jones St (bet. FREE HOLIDAY CONCERT The Washington Square Music Festival moves inside for a special holiday performance entitled “Keyboards and Strings.” The evening will feature harpsichordist Kenneth Cooper and pianist David Oei with the Festive String Ensemble. Victoria Bond, pictured above, is a Village resident and will recite the texts for her “Peculiar Plants.” Special guest singers, Ulla Westlund and Laila Maria Salins, will also perform.
