Steep rent increases in the Tribeca area are forcing Petmenders Animal Hospital to close on Duane St., It will be replaced by the celebrity marine store, New York Nautical, which is moving for the first time in 30 years.
New York Nautical, the 100-year-old store which has been visited by celebrity mariners such as Billy Joel has signed a 10 year lease for the 2900-square foot location.
A sales assistant at New York Nautical called Ron, who declined to give his lastname, says they hope to move from their old location at 140 West Broadway, by Feb. 6.
