Stabbed woman found

The body of a Bronx woman with apparent slash wounds on her throat was found in a black Suburban model car in the parking garage at 105 Essex St. near Delancey St. at 11:50 p.m. Tues., May 13, police said. The victim, identified as Leonida Davila, 39, of 120 Elgar Pl. in the Baychester section of the Bronx, was declared dead at the scene. The Medical Examiner’s office is investigating the cause of death.

D.W.I. charges

Police at the checkpoint on the northeast corner of West and W. Houston Sts. charged three drivers with driving while intoxicated during the early hours of Sat., May 10. They charged a woman shortly before 1 a.m., a man five minutes later and another man about 15 minutes later.

Teacher charged

A teacher, 61, at City-as-School, 16 Clarkson St., was given a desk appearance summons on Mon., May 12 to answer a charge by an administrative school employee that he felt her buttocks when she bent down to pick up some mail on March 28. It was not clear why the victim delayed reporting the incident. The defendant is due to appear in court on June 10.
