Swinging machete

Two 10th Precinct officers disarmed a woman who was swinging a machete on 10th Ave. on Thursday morning Dec. 21 and charged her with assault, resisting arrest and criminal possession of a weapon.

The suspect had been asking a female acquaintance who lives at 264 10th Ave., in the Elliott-Chelsea complex to lend her some clothes, police said. When the acquaintance refused, the suspect went after her with the machete and chased her into the middle of the avenue, where Officer Raymond Serrano and Sergeant Daniel Gvrach ordered her to stop. The defendant, Rasheema McIntyre, 27, refused to drop the machete, but the two cops were able to disarm her and no one was injured.

Village bank job

A man walked into the Chase bank branch on University Pl. at E. Ninth St. at 12:25 p.m. Fri., Dec. 29, passed a note to a teller demanding money and fled with an unspecified amount of cash, police said.

Flatiron heist

A man walked into the Commerce Bank branch at 260 Park Ave. S. at 21st St. at 12:52 p.m. Mon., Jan. 8, passed a note to a teller demanding money, and fled with an undetermined amount of cash, police said. The robber was described as Hispanic, about 30 years old, 6 feet tall, with black hair in a ponytail and wearing a black jacket and black hooded sweatshirt.

Pedestrians robbed

Three men emerged from a silver S.U.V. at the corner of Ninth Ave. and 26th St. at about 4:56 a.m. Fri, Dec. 22, grabbed a pedestrian from behind, took $150 from his pocket and drove off, police said.

About five men ganged up on a man who was walking to his W. 25th St. apartment between Ninth and 10th Aves. on Friday afternoon Dec. 29, knocked him to the ground, took $400 from his pants pocket and fled east toward Ninth Ave., police said.

Three’s a crowd

A visitor from Sweden who was staying at the Chelsea Savoy, at 204 W. 23rd St., told police he met two women on Jan. 3 in a neighborhood bar who suggested they have a threesome party in his hotel room. At the hotel room, the women prevailed on their host to go out for a six-pack of beer. When he returned, the women were gone and $1,450 was missing from his suitcase, police said. One of the women was described as white, about 23, stocky build. The other was described as black, slender build, about 25.

Club assault

A Hackensack, N.J., resident, 25, who was in Lotus, at 409 W. 14th St., during the early hours of Sat., Dec. 30, got into an argument with a fellow patron who hit him over the head and on the left side of the face, police said. The victim suffered lacerations that required more than 35 stitches, police said. The assailant was described as a Hispanic man, about 30, with a crew cut.

Car break-in arrest

Police arrested Chaz Fowlin, 20, at 11:27 a.m. Tues., Jan. 2, when they found him taking a laptop computer from the back seat of a car parked on the east side of Ninth Ave. between 20th and 21st Sts.
