Sliding instead of biking

Summer Streets on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. had a little bit of everything, but mainly a car-free route from the Brooklyn Bridge to Central Park at E. 72nd St. At Foley Square in Lower Manhattan, cyclists, joggers, pedestrians, skaters and everyone else in motion could “pause” to take a trip on a zip line or down a giant water slide. Summer Streets will occur again on Sat., Aug. 15.
