The NYPD is looking for a suspect who hit a man with a pipe on a bus in the Bronx.
It was reported to police that at 2:46 p.m. on May 10, a 31-year-old man was on board an MTA Bx35 bus near 165th Street and 3rd Avenue. While on the bus, an unknown man made a loud statement and then proceeded to hit the victim in the head with a metal pipe.
At this time, it is not clear what was said or if the suspect and victim knew each other.
The suspect fled the bus to parts unknown on foot. The victim sustained a laceration to the head and was taken to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln by EMS in stable condition.
The NYPD describes the suspect as a man standing 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighing 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt and blue jeans.
