Burglary after entering through fire escape window

Police said they are looking for a man in connection with an apartment burglary near Ninth Avenue and 38th Street, on Tuesday, March 10. Around 11:10 p.m., a man allegedly entered the apartment of a 30-year-old male, by climbing a roll-down security gate and gaining access to the front fire escape unlocked window, according to officials. Once inside, the man allegedly took two Apple laptops and an iPhone before fleeing.

 

Apartment burglary at West 19th Street

Police are looking for a suspect after an alleged apartment burglary near 19th Street and 10th Avenue, officials said. On Feb. 17, around 4 a.m., a man allegedly entered the apartment by prying open the security door, then took packages stored in the mailbox area. He then fled in an unknown direction.

 

Would-be shoplifter attacks employee: cops

A man is wanted for assaulting a Gristede’s employee at 225 Ninth Ave., police said. On Thursday, March 4, around 11:55 p.m., a man was allegedly seen shoplifting, and when confronted by an employee, he dropped the stolen items and left the store without taking anything, according to officials. The man returned to the store a short time later, police said, and allegedly threw an object at the employee, causing injury, then ran out of the store.

 

Man wanted for burglary pattern: cops

Police said they are looking for a man in connection with a burglary pattern. The first incident was on Feb. 24, police said, around 5:45 p.m., inside 529 W. 20 St., where the person allegedly took a laptop and Apple computer before fleeing. The second incident was on Feb. 27, around 7:30 p.m., inside 127 West 26 St., when a man allegedly entered and took an Apple Macbook and a Lenovo computer before departing.
