Will Blix drop a bomb at N.Y.U.?

On the first anniversary of the start of the war in Iraq, Hans Blix, former United Nations weapons inspector, will speak on March 15 at New York University in an event sponsored by the Lillian Vernon Center for International Affairs at N.Y.U.

Blix, chairperson of the International Commission on Weapons of Mass Destruction, will discuss his new book, “Disarming Iraq,” which will be released March 9. The book considers whether war with Iraq could have been avoided and whether Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. Blix’s book will be available for sale at the event, which starts at 6 p.m. at Eisner-Lubin Auditorium/N.Y.U. Kimmel Center, 60 Washington Sq. S., fourth floor.

The event is open to the public at no charge. Space is limited and advance tickets are required. To obtain a ticket, call 212-992-9019 or e-mail vernon.center@ nyu.edu.
