Man found dead on burned boat in Brooklyn parking lot: cops

Firefighters in Brooklyn found a man dead on a burning boat in a parking lot early on Saturday morning, police reported.

Law enforcement sources said the inferno broke out at about 4:54 a.m. on April 27 inside a parking lot opposite 253 Conover St. in Red Hook.

According to police, the boat had been connected to a trailer when members of the 76th Precinct, in responding to a 911 call, found it ablaze.

After firefighters put the fire out, they discovered an unidentified adult male on board.

Responding EMS units pronounced the unknown man dead at the scene. 

At this time, the exact cause of the man’s death remains unknown. His body was transferred to the Medical Examiner’s office for an autopsy. 

FDNY marshals are investigating the cause of the blaze, and the police investigation into the man’s death remains ongoing.
