A man was violently stabbed to death inside a Manhattan public housing complex just before midnight Friday evening, police reported.
Law enforcement sources said the killing happened inside the Frederick Douglass Houses at 140 West 104th St. on the Upper West Side at about 11:57 p.m. on April 18.
Officers from the 24th Precinct and NYPD PSA 6 responded to the location after receiving a 911 call regarding an assault in progress.
Upon arriving at the scene, cops located the victim, a 40-year-old man, who suffered multiple stab wounds to his neck.
EMS rushed the victim to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later. Police have not yet released the victim’s identity, pending family notification.
So far, no arrests have been made in the ongoing investigation, police said.
