Police have released an image of the person wanted in connection with a deadly Bronx stabbing outside of a former police station early on Monday morning.
The black-and-white image shows a man with a mustache wearing a hooded sweatshirt. Cops believe this is the suspect who allegedly stabbed 39-year-old Shamel Parnell of Harlem to death on Monday.
According to police sources, the suspect stopped Parnell in front of 1925 Bathgate Ave. in Tremont at about 12:22 a.m. on June 2 and engaged him in a verbal argument.
During the dispute, police reported, the perpetrator brandished a knife and stabbed Parnell multiple times throughout his body and neck. Following the attack, cops said, the perpetrator fled the scene in a black sedan last seen heading westbound on East 179th Street.

Officers from the 48th Precinct responded to the scene. EMS rushed Parnell to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he died of his injuries.
The site of the killing once served as the 48th Precinct headquarters, but was redeveloped ago. It now houses a preschool for children between the ages of two and five.
