The New York Rangers announced Monday their slate of centennial season theme nights and initiatives, marking the organization’s 100th anniversary.
The Blueshirts will host a series of theme nights during home games throughout the 2025-26 season that highlight different eras of the franchise, from its inception in 1926 to the present.
“Wearing the Rangers uniform is an honor and privilege unlike any other in the National Hockey League,” team president and general manager Chris Drury said. “And that is because of the legacy that has been created here over 100 years.”
Sam Rosen, the Rangers’ recently retired Hall of Fame broadcaster, will serve as master of ceremonies for select theme nights.
The club will also open a new exhibit on the main concourse at Madison Square Garden featuring memorabilia from its history. Throughout the season, a content series in collaboration with MSG Networks, hosted by team legend Henrik Lundqvist, will be released.
The full theme night schedule will be:
- 1926-42 – Birth of the franchise (Oct. 20): The Rangers honor their early success and reputation for being the “Classiest Team in Hockey”
- Milestones and Moments (Nov. 8): Recognizing playoff overtime goals and record-setting games
