Yankee Stadium expands food, apparel options for 2016 season

As fans head to Yankee Stadium this season to see the Bombers vie for a championship, they’ll also notice a new lineup of food and amenities in between innings.

The seven-year-old stadium added a host of menu items throughout its concession stands and club houses. There will be five new places to grab a bite to eat such as the Pepsi Food Court near third base on the field level which features a Hale and Hearty Soups location and stadium-made cocktails.

Bleacher Creatures can have a taste of Brooklyn at the new stand for Linda’s Brooklyn-Style Egg Creams while fans sitting in the field section near the right field, and main level near third base can chow down on sandwiches from “The Big Cheese.”

Stadium foodies looking for a real challenge can check out the “Tape Measure Cheesesteak,” located at Carl’s Steaks on field level of right field. The two foot long sandwich includes a choice of white American cheese or Cheez Whiz and served on a classic hoagie roll.

Other returning dishes include the chicken and waffles cart offered near Gate 6, bacon on a stick and the souvenir bottomless popcorn bucket.

The Yankees also have new options for fans looking for new team style swag. A kiosk in the Great Hall will sell Yankees golf items such as branded headwear, markers, tees and golf balls.

Another kiosk will sell paraphernalia that combines the Yankees and Marvel and Star Wars characters.
