Set to be a defining weekend for Gen Z dance music fans, Experts Only Festival NYC will take over Randall’s Island on Sept. 20-21, 2025, marking Summit’s first-ever two-day event With more than 50,000 attendees expected, it is shaping up to be the largest dance music festival in New York this year.

A former accountant from Chicago turned international sensation, John Summit has skyrocketed to the top of the electronic dance music totem pole. Summit’s special ability to blend different genres and create mind-blowing techno sets has earned him nearly one billion streams and multiple No. 1 U.S. dance radio hits, further impacted by the release of his debut album Comfort in Chaos in 2024.
Summit is also the founder of Experts Only, a music label and an event brand known for showcasing new talent and hosting unique dance music events – with events spanning from underground cave raves, snowy mountains, and major international festival stages. This NYC festival marks the next step in expanding the Experts Only movement.
In addition to back-to-back sets, the NYC event will also bring a taste of Miami nightlife to Randall’s Island. Famous nightclub LIV at Fontainebleau Las Vegas and Miami Beach will host a one-of-a-kind, exclusive VIP SkyDeck with VIP tables and bottle service—its first-ever brand activation in NYC.
Attendees can expect diverse food and beverage options, interactive brand activations, and picturesque views of the Manhattan skyline from Randall’s Island.
Produced in partnership with Medium Rare, Relentless Beats, and EMW — three powerhouse production companies known for creating large-scale, high-energy, live events — Experts Only Festival NYC promises to deliver a one-of-a-kind weekend for the city’s dance music fans.
Summit has also partnered with Femme House, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the dance music industry. Co-founded by artists LP Giobbi and Hermixalot, Femme House is a nonprofit focused on building equality in the dance music industry through free education, mentorship, and community programs. $1 from every ticket sold will be donated to help fund its free educational and mentorship programs.
