Actress Lindsay Lohan posted a nostalgic Instagram message Sunday with a photo of herself in front of the real-life house in London from her 1998 movie “The Parent Trap.”
“A trip down memory lane #sundayfunday #theparenttrapmovie ‘Annie’s house’ but it was number 7 in the movie,” Lohan, 29, wrote, referring to Annie James, one of two long-lost twins she played in the fondly remembered Disney movie.
She had revisited that film — in which she plays both British Annie and Californian Hallie Parker, who after meeting each other conspire to get their divorced parents, Nick Parker (Dennis Quaid) and Elizabeth James (Natasha Richardson) back together — in March, when she posted an Instagram video of herself lip-syncing to a line of Annie’s: “Actually, we’re all quite fine in here, unless Hallie Parker knows something we don’t know.”
The house, at 23 Egerton Terrace in London’s Knightsbridge neighborhood, was built in the 1840s, according to a 2010 real-estate listing when it was on sale for £14 million.
Lohan, originally of Cold Spring Harbor and Merrick, made her film debut in that movie at the age of 12, launching a career that included the Disney movies “Freaky Friday” (2003), “Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen” (2004) and “Herbie Fully Loaded” (2005), as well as other features including “Mean Girls” (2004) and most recently independent movie “The Canyons” (2013).
She has completed work on the horror telefilm “The Shadow Within,” starring Charlotte Beckett as a private investigator descended from a line of werewolves.
