Has English comic Russell Brand become a dad?
The British newspaper the Daily Mirror said on Monday that according to an audience member at Brand’s show at the Nottingham Playhouse the day before, the comedian told the audience he needed to be off the stage soon because his girlfriend had just had a baby.
Brand’s spokeswoman did not immediately respond to a Newsday request for confirmation.
Brand, 41, the former husband of music star Katy Perry, is in a relationship with Laura Gallacher, often described in the media as his fiancée. He appeared to announce in July that they were expecting, posting an Instagram photo of himself reading “The Expectant Dad’s Handbook” and writing, “Time to get ready!”
