The weather is heating up, and so is The Rooftop at Pier 17 at the South Street Seaport in Lower Manhattan.
The open-air venue, dubbed “New York City’s most scenic outdoor stage,” kicks off its 2025 season on May 1 with a pair of shows from electronic musician and DJ Elderbrook, followed by performances from The Fray, Rilo Kiley, RuPaul’s Drag Race, James Arthur, Riley Green, JET, Mayday Parade and more.
“New Yorkers and visitors to the city look forward to the Seaport Concert Series each year,” said Anton Nikodemus, CEO of Seaport Entertainment Group in a statement released Thursday. “The Rooftop at Pier 17 is more than just a concert venue, it’s an entire experience filled with incredible artists and musicians, unmatched views of the city skyline, and the best cocktails and food the city has to offer at the Seaport’s surrounding bars and restaurants.”

Perched five stories above the East River, The Rooftop boasts panoramic views of the Brooklyn Bridge, Empire State Building, and Statue of Liberty. Since its 2018 debut, the venue has hosted major artists such as Billie Eilish, Ringo Starr, Machine Gun Kelly, Lil Nas X and Diana Ross.
New this year are several upgraded fan experiences, including the Liberty Club, offering “expedited entry into the venue, all-inclusive food, access to a full-service cash bar, and comfortable lounge seating throughout Liberty Club’s three exclusive areas.” Liberty Club guests also enjoy the flexibility to move between general admission and private lounge areas, with post-show access until 11 p.m.
Chase Sapphire Reserve Premium Access gives cardmembers entry to the Liberty Club along with all-inclusive food and beverages, expedited entry, and access to a lifted viewing platform during performances.
Concertgoers can also elevate their experience at the new two-level Patrón Patio, which offers a unique view of the stage and a dedicated bar serving signature Patrón Tequila cocktails.

For a pre-show bite, fans can book a Preshow Pizza Dinner at The Frenchman’s Dough, featuring “two freshly made appetizers and a perfectly charred pizza” at the Jean-Georges-helmed Italian eatery inside the Tin Building.
On show nights, ticket holders are encouraged to “come early or stay late” at Seaport hotspots like The Fulton, Malibu Farm, Carne Mare, Mister Dips, and GITANO NYC. Nearby, the Tin Building by Jean-Georges houses additional dining options, including House of the Red Pearl, T. Brasserie, and grab-and-go eateries.
For the first time this year, the Seaport Concert Series will continue into the fall and winter, with the Rooftop set to transform into a year-round venue. A custom-designed, glass-enclosed structure will allow for indoor concerts beginning winter 2025-26, with capacity for 3,000 fans and a new VIP balcony level.
The Rooftop at Pier 17 is located at 89 South Street in Lower Manhattan.
