Troy Press, an actor, sports host, and social media creator who grew up in Briarcliff Manor, NY, will be a co-host of Miss New York USA in 2024.
The Miss New York competition will be held from June 28-30 in Albany, NY. Around 100 women will compete for the title of “Miss New York” in this highly anticipated event.

Press is the host for the Major League Soccer team New York City Football Club. On the acting side, his latest film “Lake George” just debuted at the Cannes Festival. He has amassed over 460,000 followers on his social media pages. He posts many short clips relating to life in New York, often with a comedic twist.
Press, someone who is generally not easily satisfied, recognizes the importance in taking in these moments of glory that exemplify what hard work can bring.
“I think these are the moments that you have to be grateful for,” Press said. “Just like any New Yorker you want to complete the next obstacle but at times like this you have to look around and appreciate where the journey has already taken you.”
One of the important aspects of Miss New York USA is the platform that it gives to the competitors. Even though there can only be one winner in the end, it is a major accomplishment for any woman to even make it to the Miss New York USA stage.
“I’ve seen what other winners of this competition have accomplished,” Press said. “I know how they’ve been able to reshape their communities and impact causes that they are passionate about.”
For a person who grew up in New York, it is a special opportunity for Press to co-host Miss New York USA. He will look to bring his sense of creativity to the event and energize the crowd as much as possible.
“It seems like they’re allowing me to be myself,” Press said. “I’m really excited to improv a little bit and have fun with my co-hosts.”
2020 Miss New York herself Andreia Gibau will be co-hosting the event alongside Press this year.
“I’m just excited to introduce Troy to the Miss New York USA world,” Gibau said. “I think our energy is gonna bring something fresh this year to the show, I can’t wait!”
