Forest Hills’ Aigner Chocolates is giving Willy Wonka a run for his money.

The mom-and-pop gourmet chocolate shop (at 103-02 Metropolitan Ave.) is stuffing a $1,000 golden cornucopia with handmade chocolates to sell to just one customer for Thanksgiving.

Chef Mark Libertini is making chocolate-covered Twinkies, devil dogs and oreos, handmade caramels, chocolate covered pretzels, Aigner’s signature chocolate truffles and marzipan, and chocolate turkeys and cat tongues in solid milk and dark chocolate — all for the cornucopia.

“Thanksgiving is a time to be grateful for our family and friends but can also be a fun time to go all out on what graces the dinner table,” said Mark Libertini, co-owner with his wife, Rachel Kellner, of Aigner Chocolates. “We thought, why not go big this year? Gold is back in style and everyone loves a little chocolate to finish off a meal.”

Earlier this year, the shop created a signature “Game of Thrones” line with chocolate treats resembling dragon eggs, dragons and direwolf pops.

Since 1930, Aigner Chocolates has been making Austrian-style treats using the same antique equipment and techniques. For more information, visit aignerchocolates.com.
