Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who killed a man in the Bronx early Sunday morning.
According to police sources, the deadly incident unfolded outside of 646 Westchester Ave. at approximately 2:24 a.m. on Feb. 8. Cops say a gray SUV was traveling inside a parking lot when it struck a 27-year-old man.
EMS rushed the injured man to Lincoln Hospital after he suffered what is described as severe head trauma. He could not be saved and was pronounced dead. His identity has been withheld pending family notification.
Meanwhile, the driver fled the scene.
No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing by the NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad.
