Police continue to investigate another deadly traffic incident on a Manhattan street — this one involving a woman fatally struck by a driver in a box truck Thursday afternoon.

Law enforcement sources said the fatality occurred at 4:57 p.m. on Dec. 19 at the corner of Broadway and Howard Street in SoHo.

According to preliminary investigation that police obtained, the 41-year-old male driver of an 2013 International box truck was heading southbound on Broadway when it passed Howard Street, then began to reverse.

As he went backward, police said, he struck a 26-year-old woman as she attempted to cross Broadway from west to east.

The box truck driver stopped the vehicle and remained at the scene, where First Precinct officers arrived moments later.

Cops found the victim with severe body trauma. Paramedics pronounced her dead at the location; police withheld her identity, pending family notification.

No charges have been filed against the driver at this time. The NYPD Collision Investigation Squad is handling the case.

The incident happened about an hour after a 85-year-old man was fatally hit by a box truck driver at the corner of 39th Street and Third Avenue in Sunset Park, Brooklyn.

Brendan Gil, 85, of Fourth Avenue was struck by the driver, a 24-year-old male, of the box truck as it headed southbound along Third Avenue. Gil suffered severe body trauma and died a short time later at NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn.
