One of two victims in a shooting at a Queens gas station last month died of his injuries at a local hospital on Monday, police reported.

Pablo Antonio Nolasco Gonzalez, 54, of Elmont, Long Island was shot along with a 53-year-old man while standing outside the Exxon gas station at 98-21 Rockaway Blvd. in Ozone Park on the night of Aug. 29.

At about 6:15 p.m. that evening, law enforcement sources said, an unidentified shooter approached the victims and began firing. The motive for the shooting remains unclear at this time, sources familiar with the investigation reported.

Authorities said Gonzalez took three bullets to his arm, chest and back, while the 57-year-old man was shot twice in the back and torso. After opening fire, the unknown shooter fled the scene, cops said.

Officers from the 106th Precinct responded to the incident. EMS rushed both victims to Jamaica Hospital, where they were initially listed in critical condition. But after nearly a month of hospitalization, Gonzalez died of his injuries on Sept. 20.

Meanwhile, the shooter behind the homicide remains at large.
