Singer Marva Wright belted out “You Can Have My Husband But Please, Don’t Mess With My Man” with Ttrumpeter Kermit Ruffins Saturday night at a free Winter Garden concert featuring New Orleans musicians struggling after Hurricane Katrina. One couple showed they could swing and drew the Downtown crowd to the floor. The site is across the street from the World Trade Center site and organizers billed the event as “Payback Time,” Lower Manhattan reciprocating for the help it received after 9/11.
