Bronx detectives arrested the man whom they say allegedly stabbed his girlfriend to death inside their apartment over the weekend.
According to police sources, cops arrested 39-year-old Khaleel Cooper for the brutal stabbing of 40-year-old Tamara Rowe inside of their home along East 232nd Street near White Plains Road during a domestic dispute just after 8:30 p.m. on June 28.
Cops say the victim’s sister dialed 911 and told them that she found her sibling mortally wounded. Upon arrival, officers from the 47th Precinct discovered Rowe with a stab wound to the chest and right arm.
EMS rushed her to Montefiore Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.
Law enforcement sources report that Cooper attacked Rowe in a fit of rage after believing that she was cheating on him. His 2-year-old niece was in the bedroom as he allegedly committed the murder.
Cooper has been charged with murder, manslaughter, endangering the welfare of a child, and criminal possession of a weapon.
