A 34-year-old teacher in Canarsie is accused of having sex with a student in his school.

Andre Braddy, who police said taught at Lenox Academy, was charged with second-degree criminal sex act, sexual misconduct and endangering the welfare of a child.

He had sexual contact with a 14-year-old male student on at least three occasions in March and April, and had sex inside the school’s bathroom, according to police and a criminal complaint. Additionally, he sent the teen explicit photos, the criminal complaint claims.

Police said Braddy and the student texted back and forth about the inappropriate relationship, police said.

He was arrested on Wednesday, police said, and was arraigned Thursday in Brooklyn’s criminal court. He is being held on $75,000 bond or $25,000 cash bail.

A Department of Education spokesman called the allegations “deeply disturbing” and said Braddy was removed from the school.

“He will remain away from students pending the outcome of the investigation, and we will pursue his removal from payroll as soon as legally possible,” the spokesman said in an email.
