Books of Wonder, a children’s bookstore, will host a special event on Saturday, March 19 – an event that might be particularly delightful for little people who like big pictures. The event will feature the winner of the Caldecott Medal, awarded annually by the American Library Association to the most distinguished American picture book for children. Kevin Henkes, author of “Kitten’s First Full Moon” and winner of the 2004 Caldecott Medal, will appear at the event, along with three other Caldecott honorees. The authors will give brief presentations, answer questions and sign copies of their books. The free event at noon will take place at 18 West 18th St. For more information, call 212-989-3270.
