Photographer Corky Lee, left, was honored on April 8 at a Chinatown banquet fundraiser for Hamilton-Madison House. Lee has been documenting the lives of Asian-Americans in Chinatown for three decades. His work is often exhibited in art galleries and his photographs have been printed in many publications including The Villager. Frank Modica, Hamilton-Madison House executive director, right, presented Lee with the award. Councilmember John Liu (not shown), the city’s first Asian-American councilmember, was also honored at the event.
