Cops cuff man for sexually assaulting woman in Bronx burglary

A Bronx man was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a 73-year-old woman in her home last week.

Authorities say that at 9:30 p.m. on March 23, the suspect entered the victim’s home, located in the vicinity of Williamsbridge Road and Lydig Avenue, without permission. Once the suspect was inside, he put himself on top of the victim, and when she woke up he demanded money.

The suspect proceeded to touch the victim’s breasts and continued to sexually assault her before ultimately fleeing the scene with the victim’s bank card and PIN. The victim did not sustain any injuries as a result of the incident.

David Salas, 45, was arrested in connection to the incident. He was charged with burglary, grand larceny, criminal trespassing, sexual misconduct, forcible touching, menacing, sexual abuse, and trespassing.
